Free the Forgotten - Religious Freedom for Nepal

Nepal lawmakers have just passed a new law (google it).
The law prevents their people from changing beliefs.
Charities are considered threats now.

– Lawsuits against a widow who saves other widows from the slums

– Arrests of pastors who care for the street children affected by the earthquake

– Banned nonprofits who have been in Nepal for years

What does this do?

By Nepal politicians effectively shutting down charities, they are throwing children out onto the streets.
The orphans, children with AIDs, the homeless… the forgotten become trapped.

What is going on in Nepal?

The Interim Constitution specifically denies the right to convert another person.

“You must keep the religion that you were born with.”

Some Nepal politicians fear that charities who serve the poor are doing so just to convert people. Thus they are banning these charities, which directly affects the orphans, children with AIDs, homeless, widows, and prostitutes who were on the road to recovery.
